3 Container vessels for Hammonia Reederei and 1 Minibulker for Peter Döhle Schiffahrts-KG
(Hamburg, October 12th, 2006) At the beginning of October the Hammonia Reederei GmbH & Co. KG and the Peter Döhle Schiffahrts KG had a formal christening ceremony of four China built vessels The three container vessels and one Minibulker are components of long-term delivery contracts between the two german shipping companies and shipyards in China. On October 7th, the first of ten Hammonia Reederei GmbH & Co. KG ordered container vessels were christened at the Chinese shipyard Jiangsu Jiagnzijiang with the name “HAMMONIA PALATIUM”. Up until now, this has been the biggest vessel built in this shipyard. The “HAMMONIA PALATIUM” is equipped with the newest standards and, hence, received the additional class sign “Environmental Passport” from the Germania Lloyd. This classification certifies the conversion and observance of all measures which are used for the protection of the environment aboard. After delivery, the container vessel will be part of the 2.500 TEU Döhle Pool. Döhle, as the Pool manager will charter the vessel to big shipping
