03.02.2009 - Delivery of container-vessel new buildings
Three 2.546 TEU new building container-vessel have been delivered to the HCI HAMMONIA SHIPPING AG.
The “HAMMONIA MASSILIA” was delivered on October 20th,
2008, and the “HAMMONIA ROMA” and “HAMMONIA BAVARIA” on January 5th,
2009. With these deliveries all new building vessels listed in the
stock exchange prospectus have been taken over, according to plan, by
the HCI HAMMONIA SHIPPING AG. All three vessels were built at the
Jiangsu Yangzijang shipyard in China. Each of them has a capacity of
2.546 TEU, are 208,90 m long, 29,80 m wide and have a draft of 11,60 m.
The cruising speed is 22 knots. The “HAMMONIA MASSILIA” sails under the
charter name “TS INDIA” for T.S. Shipping Co., Ltd, Hong Kong until
March 2010. The “HAMMONIA BAVARIA” has been chartered to the Compania
Sud Americana de Vapores, S.A. (“CSAV”). The “HAMMONIA ROMA” will be
sailing under the charter name of “TS MALAYSIA”
for the same period as her sister vessel, the “HAMMONIA MASSILIA”, until March 2010 for T.S. Shipping Co., Ltd, Hong Kong
The three vessels are members of the 2.500 TEU Döhle Pool.
The HCI HAMMONIA SHIPPING AG now has a fleet compliment of 11 vessels in service.
