27.05.2011 - New Containervessel for HAMMONIA
HAMMONIA Reederei celebrated a further addition to the fleet on the 27th of May 2011.
The naming ceremony of the new 2.800 TEU Container vessel started at 1 pm at the Nordic Yard in Warnemünde. More than 500 guests were invited to the Christening. The vessel was christened to the name of MV "HAMMONIA BALTICA". She has a capacity of 39.268 tonnes and can reach a speed of 22 knots. Furthermore, she is 225 meters long, 29,80 meters wide and has a draft of 11,40 meters. The vessel now adds the HAMMONIA fleet of 41 container vessels, 15 heavy lift vessels and 2 bulk carriers. By Peter Döhle Schiffahrts-KG as charter broker, the MV "HAMMONIA BALTICA" has been chartered for the next two years to the Independent Container Line. During her two-year charter she will be sailing under the charter name of "Independent Voyager".
